Some mornings on the walk into the capitol I have to take a second and realize that I am blessed to go to work in the center of Democracy in Missouri every day.

People always call it luck when you’ve acted more sensibly than they have.

When God asks what you’ve done with your life, try not to say “Didn’t you read my tweets?”

It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.

Elevator Pitch Essentials: How to Get Your Point Across in Two Minutes or Less was the first of my 20 books for 2011.

I am reading the book for a presentation I am giving at the Morenet Spring Conference. I enjoyed the book. I thought it was geared toward sales more than project championing which my talk will be on but I picked up a few good points and since the author teaches at Washington University in Missouri it was nice to support a local guy.

I give it an 8 out of 10.

When I quote others I do so in order to express my own ideas more clearly
