Dell World Day 2

Yesterday was the second day of Dell World. I started off the morning hosting an panel in the Dell Wold Social Area:

With some of the smartest people in the industry:

After spending the afternoon learning about the new generation of Dell servers and cloud offerings I then spent some time playing video games and looking at some seriously cool stuff:

Information Week was offering this which almost made up for all those “We need to verify your information” calls:

Dell World Day 1

Today was the first day of Dell World.

I didn’t have anything until late morning so I spent the first part of the day hanging out at Texas State Capitol:

After that I spent the morning listening to the Dell leadership team talk about the future of the company at an “apple-esque” press conference.

In the Afternoon I was invited to take part in the #Innoit think tank. Which was one of the neatest things I have done and it was filled with some of the smartest people I have been around.

Of course we ended the night with food trucks and music.

Vision is not the ability to see the future. It’s the ability to see an opportunity in your current situation and follow it.

Vision fades. So leaders must continually remind, refresh, and restate it.

My son and I waiting for Santa at the Christmas parade yesterday.

We have spent the last 3 years teaching my son not to eat food off the floor in our house then we took him to a parade and told him grab candy off the road.

Best way to end No Shave November is with an old fashioned straight razor shave.

Anytime everyone on your team agrees about an idea someone isn’t thinking.

Firefighters never run into a burning building. They walk so their speed doesn’t result in critical error.
